Carolyn H. Kneip, 84, of Clinton, NY, passed away peacefully Saturday, February 21, 2015 with her loving family by her side. Born February 11, 1931 in Ionia, MI, she grew up in Madison, WI and St. Paul MN. After her retirement she lived in Eagle River, WI and Clinton, NY. Early in her career she headed the Business Development Unit for the Manhattan Chamber of Commerce and then was the Director of the Plymouth, Massachusetts Chamber of Commerce. Later she was Owner and President of Greystone & Associates, a financial services employment placement agency in Chicago, IL. She had six children who were her greatest pride and joy, raising them in St. Louis, MO and Sterling Forest, NY. She was an accomplished artist, loved reading, music, gardening and refinishing furniture. Carolyn had a lifelong interest in politics, finance and art. She had a special love for animals and thoroughly enjoyed the companionship of her daughter's dog, Maggie Katie, for many years. Survivors include a sister, Toni Doyle and brother, Edward Krick and their families; her six children: Katherine (Roger) Faust of Eagle River, WI, Lawrence (Peggy) Kneip of Wycoff, N.J, Daniel Kneip of Portland, OR, Stephanie Broomfield of Clinton, NY, Joseph (Debbie) Kneip of Suffield, CT, and Edward Kneip of San Francisco, CA; eight cherished grandchildren, Will, Harrison, Leigh, Dylan, Jeremy, Sarah, Melissa and Tony; and three great grandchildren. The family extends their heartfelt appreciation to all of her special caregivers at Sitrin Nursing Home. A private celebration of her life will be held at a later date. Arrangements by Owens-Pavlot & Rogers Funeral Service, Inc. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Stevens Swan Humane Society (http://www.stevens-swan.org/).
