Grace W. Bendix, 88, of Clark Mills, passed away Tuesday, April 14, 2015 at Faxton-St. Luke's Hospital. She was born in Cassville on April 12, 1927, the daughter of the late Herbert and Rhoda Wadsworth. Grace was raised by Burt and Emma Brown in Bridgewater and graduated from the local schools. She was married to Carl Bendix on October 6, 1951. Grace retired from Oneida County after forty years of service. She had become the head of Audit and Control and served her county with dedication and pride. She was a member of Grace church where she sang in the choir for 50 years and was a member of the Altar Society. She was also a member of Order of the Eastern Star and the Utica Maennerchor where she also sang in the ladies' chorus. She is survived by her son, Carl Bendix of Malibu, California and was predeceased by her husband. All are invited to call Sunday, April 19, 2015 from 3-5pm at Owens-Pavlot & Rogers Funeral Service, Inc., 35 College St., Clinton. Funeral services will be held at 11am on Monday at Grace Church in Utica. Burial will be in Kirkland Cemetery.
