Carolyn R. Davis, 69, a longtime resident of Belle Vernon, PA, passed away Sunday, June 14, 2015 in Utica, NY, where she had moved to be closer to her son and his family.
She was born on February 2, 1946, in Charleroi, PA, the daughter of the late Raymond and Thelma (Hicks) Barker. She earned her Master Degree and taught French at Ringgold High School in Monongahela, PA. Carolyn was a member of the First Christian Church of Fayette City, PA and enjoyed singing. She was renowned for her vocals and sang with the California Chorale. She also had a great love for her animals, especially her Yorkies.
She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Jason and Emily Davis of Westmoreland, NY; her three grandchildren, Jessica Jones-Davis and Joshua and Allison Davis; her great-granddaughter Emree Jones; and her cousins Beverly and Mary Ellen Hazlett.
Private burial services will be held for her family. Please consider donations in her memory to the Alzheimer's Association at www.alz.org
