Obituary of Rosalie "Mickey" M. Lauber

Rosalie M. "Mickey" Lauber, 77, of West Thomas Street, passed away with her loving family by her side on Thursday, August 13, 2015. She was born February 19, 1938, in Rome, a daughter of Albert and Helen (Anken) Kipfer. Mickey loved life on the family farm. She graduated from Rome Free Academy and worked for many years at Griffiss Air Force Base as a secretary. She was a devoted mother to her five children Walter John Lauber, Jill Pavlot, Joleen and Urs Walthert, Jeff Lauber and Jay and Renee Lauber. She loved spending time with her 14 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her two brothers, a sister and their spouses, Albert and Myrtle Kipfer, Ruth and Arthur Lyman and Erwin "Bud" and Kelley Kipfer; many nieces, nephews and cousins; and her lifelong friend Sandy Clippinger Stocker. All are invited to call Sunday, August 16, 2015 from 1-3pm at 418 N. George St., Rome at Nunn & Harper Funeral Home. A memorial service will be held at Trinity United Church of Christ at 11am on Monday. The burial will be in Westernville Cemetery prior to the memorial service. Arrangements by Owens-Pavlot & Rogers Funeral Service, Inc., Clinton. Her family is grateful to the staff at West Thomas Street who cared for her over the years and was like her second family.
